I want to thank this website for allowing me to post and for Dr. Tindall’s insights into many of the global geopolitical issues. I will post occasionally. The scriptures tell us to watch for the Lord cometh like a thief in the night (paraphrased). This means also to be aware of the signs of the times. My goal is to help you prepare spiritually for that which is coming, already here in fact. I am a man of no consequence who charges no money. My name is unimportant; you may call me The Mountain Prophet. My goal is to help those seeking the truth to unravel the events written in scripture. Why? Because a knowledge of them will also help you to better survive and, the time for choosing a side is now upon us. Most people, in fact, have already chosen, which is evident by the responses to Hamas versus Israel starting the Gaza war.
Today, most churches no longer talk about heaven and hell, faith, or repentance or following the word, but that you can do anything you want and at most God will beat you with a few stripes. This is false teaching and doctrine. Churches now teach the philosophies of men mingled with scripture. Such doctrine builds a perilous foundation. Search the scriptures for yourself and you will discover this to be true. Let’s dive into current events. You do not need a pastor to tell you what the scriptures say, you need to study it for yourself. People like to rationalize and blame. You will be accountable for your own actions regardless of what any religious leader tells you.
There are many posting on social media that we are in the tribulation. This is not correct. Let me explain. Many theologians believe that the Psalm 83 war is a precursor to the war of Gog and Magog (described below). This is the war that causes the start of the 7-year tribulation period, which I believe is near. Thus, there is some confusion within the theological community. Although the Israeli War of Independence could have fulfilled all the criteria of the Psalm 83 war, Ezekiel prophesied that Russia (Magog and Rosh) and Iran (Persia) would “go up against the land of unwalled villages …” In 2008 Israel constructed West Bank barrier which leads many to believe the Psalm 83 war is a future event, however, because the Gog Magog war is close, this is likely not the case. The barrier is not a wall, only for a short distance compared to the whole. Most of the West Bank barrier is chain-link fencing, with extend-an-arm barbed wire on top. So, it does not wall off the cities. And, as we saw during the Hamas invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, it was relatively easy to penetrate.
However, talking about a wall or fence and the ease with which it can be penetrated is inconsequential compared to recent and future events. I believe, through my understanding of years of studying scripture that the War of Gog and Magog is near at hand.
The War of Gog and Magog
A half dozen or more countries, including Russia and Iran who are the main forces, have formed a coalition. Turkey has also jumped into this coalition, but they have not initiated their military and arms to date. Currently, they are in a support role to Hamas and Hezbollah. Their singular goal is to destroy Israel thus, they are positioning themselves to do that very thing. Around the globe, more fragile economies and even those of industrial nations are nearing the verge of collapse unless needed action is done to halt that collapse. Already there is great fear that WWIII has begun and there are waves of fear and panic sweeping around the world as a potential nuclear cataclysm appears imminent. Some leaders, realizing what is happening, will attempt to negotiate a way out of this, which is interruption of supply lines, particularly natural gas and oil. Germany is cutting down forests and stockpiling coal to make it through what they expect will be a brutal winter. Because of what is happening, we in the U.S. and elsewhere are likely to witness unprecedented price shock at the pumps when oil and gas yet again reach never seen prices. You will recall that while President Trump was in office that energy prices were low because we were virtually independent producing much of our own oil resources. When Biden took over, this all disappeared as the U.S., Canada, and other countries leaders sold out to China, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.
Fear will grip the world when global markets and people fall to the mercy of what looks like World War III, especially since the U.S. has come to the aid of Israel. Israel however will stand alone during the War of Gog and Magog, which will likely come sometime after the current conflict, perhaps by summer to fall 2024. The west, NATO, and others will be unwilling to do anything except give lip service. Israel will be surrounded with little hope. The recent pro-Palestinian demonstrations are a prelude to what will come. The world will hold its breath while Israel will finally be wiped off the map. At least they think so. The baby killing Hamas terrorists will be drunken from a blood lust that infects those who constantly kill. Just look at the great number of people who support Hamas’s actions, mostly because they are completely clueless and buy into what American and other main stream media is dispensing. If you were one of the parents whose baby’s head was cut off, could you support Hamas and yet the media says we should feel sorry for them. When the War of Gog and Magog begins, not one country will come to the aid of Israel. Not even the U.S.; most likely because we will be embroiled in our own second great rebellion, a bloody civil war. So, Israel is small. Can they take on this coalition of the War of Gog and Magog?
We see this war taking shape at this very moment in the news. Chapters 38 and 39 in Ezekial gives a clear and detailed description of this coming war. Again, this war is known as “The War of Gog & Magog”.
This is not the Battle of Armageddon, which occurs at the end of Tribulation and in which Christ returns to stop it. In the first War of Gog and Magog; God will end the battle before it starts. We all know due to the Book of Revelation that Armageddon will involve almost every nation on earth and will initially be centered on the Antichrist. The War of Gog and Magog will not include every nation on earth instead, it will be led by Russia and Iran as described in Ezekiel 38:1-6. Below is a map of nations (courtesy Bible History Online) during biblical times; specifically, as described in the book of Genesis.
Because all nations will not be involved in this war, you are asking which nations will be. The coalition put together to invade Israel in this war according to the bible will include:
- Magog, Rosh: Russia and the former Soviet republics.
- Persia: Iran.
- Cush: Sudan, Ethiopia, and perhaps Eritrea.
- Put: Libya, Algeria, and Tunisa.
- Gomer, Meshech, and Tubal: Turkey. There may also be involvement by both Germany and Austria.
- Beth-togarmah: Turkey, Armenia, and Turkish-speaking people of Asia Minor and Central Asia
You should also be aware that the Bible tells us of a second war of Gog and Magog in Revelation 20: 7-10. The second war of Gog and Magog in Revelation will occur at the end of the Millennial Reign. When Satan is once again allowed to gather his forces and have battle with Michael the Archangel and his forces. It is at the end of the second war of Gog and Magog that Satan will be permanently bound and thrown into the lake of fire. Some theologians remind us that the first war of Gog and Magog begins the end of human history as we know it because the 7-year peace treaty immediately begins the tribulation. The second war of Gog and Magog ends human history.
There are some who are confused about the timeline of the first war of Gog and Magog. They believe that this war happens midway of the tribulation. It does not; it happens at the beginning of the tribulation. It is the cause of it. Search the scriptures. Also, remember the tribulation is split into two, 42-month (3.5 years) periods.
The Bible tells us in Ezekiel 38:10-11
10 ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan. 11 and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates.”
These verses are describing attacking Israel who is at peace for the most part when this war occurs. But you need to remember that Israel is the dominant military power in the area, as well as the dominant economic and political power of the region.
It is surprising that many are confused because God has given us much detail about this war. Isaiah 17 describes what will happen in the north with Syria.
Isaiah 17:1-9 (could be describing one of two potential events):
1) Syria likely launches some type of chemical or biological attack that kills many in northern Israel which could be followed by a nuclear attack from Israel that destroys Damascus. It is in a poor state already.
2) Israel fighting on all fronts and facing an army sweeping through the north utilizes its Samson Option to avoid being overrun. This option is a tactical defense to prevent being overrun. It is not hard to imagine given current circumstances between the IDF, Gaza, and the West Bank. This (Samson Option) nuclear strike will level Damascus. Therefore, Isaiah 17:4-6 may be describing radiation poisoning experienced in the north due to nuclear fallout.
In Ezekiel 39 we are told that God will destroy these armies, the coalition, that moves against Israel. The details leave nothing to the imagination and what happens in the wake of this war. When looking at the timing of this war, you must not overlook Ezekiel 39:9-10.
9 “Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will go out and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them. 10 “They will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoil of those who despoiled them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them,” declares the Lord GOD.
The verses above indicate the nation of Israel will be burning (for fuel) what’s left from these armies after they are destroyed for a period of seven years, which coincides with the length of Tribulation. And we know that many flee Israeli cities from scriptural evidence, especially at the beginning of the Great Tribulation. It is not a coincidence that the length the available fuel will last is the same length as the time of Tribulation. Knowing that God is giving seven years of fuel to Israel, the length of Tribulation as a seven-year period places this first war of Gog and Magog directly before the signing of the seven-year peace treaty, which signing (again) initiates the Tribulation time period. This is not an accident nor coincidence!
We are told in the book of Revelation that at the beginning of the Great Tribulation (the second 42-month period of Tribulation), that the Antichrist will cause everyone to take his mark. What we commonly call the “mark of the beast”. Revelation 13:16-18.
16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
The Bible is clear and explicit that the Antichrist will force all people to take his mark. These people and nations who take his mark as a sign of worship will likely not have the political will or the ability to rise in defiance and move on Israel when the Antichrist just signed a seven-year peace treaty with Israel 42 months earlier. Furthermore, the mark takes place at the beginning of the Great Tribulation; the second half of the 7-year tribulation.
At the initiation of the ‘mark’ you will need it to buy, sell, trade, travel, work, etc. Even if you do not have the mark, the Antichrist will have the ability to force everyone to take it as a sign of worship of him or be put to death. This could only mean the Antichrist will have absolute control over every system and person in the world. Given the fact that this happens at the beginning of the Great Tribulation, which is the second 3.5-year period of the Tribulation, there could be no war without the permission of the Antichrist. And we know that this war is not Armageddon. Why? For the war of Gog and Magog to happen at the midway point of Tribulation, these nations and people who are under the complete control of the Antichrist, would have to break his treaty with Israel. And we know from the Bible that it is the Antichrist himself that breaks his own treaty midway through Tribulation with the defilement of the rebuilt temple (Daniel 9:27).
Resources: A Hook in the Jaw
The latest wars on earth have been resource wars. Taking from those who have by those who have them not. The Nord Stream pipeline was sabotaged (see map below). Because of that, we also need to consider the Eastern Mediterranean Pipeline. It is somewhat complex. To put it into perspective, we need to take a stroll down memory lane.
Drilling for oil in Israel was first done in the late 1940s in an area south of Tel Aviv near Ashkelon. In 1952, to attract other exploration to provide for Israel’s energy needs, Israel’s parliament enacted a bill into law that gave attractive incentives to companies which would come to Israel and drill. These incentives included low taxes and low royalty payments to the government. Oil was discovered in 1955, but the size of the discovery was not significant.
Arab states like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, etc. have always boycotted the sale of oil to Israel because of their great animosity toward the Jews. With no energy source of its own, Israel was forced to import oil from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, and coal from South Africa.
In 1967 Egypt, Jordan, and Syria attacked Israel in the conflict called The Six Day War. Against all odds Israel won decisively, but the conflict depleted Israel’s armaments. Because the United States resupplied arms to Israel, the oil-producing Arab nations retaliated against the United States by decreasing oil production. This led to increases in the price of oil and resulted in the 1973 oil shortage crisis in the United States. It also intensified Israel’s interest in finding its own oil supply.
Exploration for oil expanded off the coast of Israel into the waters of the Mediterranean. In the 1980s Israel tried government-owned drilling but gave up and returned to a policy of letting private companies do the work of exploration. This attracted even more drilling.
The discovery of an onshore oil site was made in 2010 in northern Israel by the exploration company Givot Olam. The company based its search for oil in Israel on Scripture. This Meged 5 field site, located near Rosh Ha’ayin, had a potential of huge quantities of oil. The site is located just north of Ramat Gan near the border of the West Bank.
In early 2009 a monster find of natural gas was discovered fifty-five miles west of the port of Haifa in the Mediterranean. It was called the Tamar field. Tamar began production in 2013 and has estimated reserves of up to 238 billion cubic meters (8.4 trillion cubic feet). The discovery of Tamar was followed a few months later by a find much larger in the Mediterranean between Israel and Cyprus called Leviathan. The Leviathan find began production in 2017.
To put these discoveries into perspective, they are nearly twice the size of what the British have found in the North Sea. The Texas-based company, Noble Energy, has since discovered a gargantuan deposit of natural gas in the Leviathan Field, buried a mile beneath the ocean floor. This Israeli find, estimated at some 22 trillion cubic feet, is large enough that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented in a CNN interview with Piers Morgan in March 2011, that Israel might forego building nuclear reactors and rely on generations of natural energy instead.
More fields have been discovered since and Israel could be catapulted into the energy superpower league. Israel will in all likelihood become a major exporter of energy!
If so, Saudi Arabia and other oil exporters have plenty to worry about. Until now, extortion and the threat of a boycott in retaliation for loyalty to Israel have allowed them to dictate foreign policy to other countries including the United States. Recent changes and government instability in many of the Arab countries in the Middle East have caused the world’s oil supply to become unstable. Are the discoveries of these natural resources accidental? Not likely. Please read the following scriptures.
Deuteronomy 33:24 (As said of Asher, the 8th son of Jacob)

“From the God of your father who helps you, and by the Almighty who blesses you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath.
Deuteronomy 33:13 (As said of Joseph)
“Blessed of the Lord be his land, with the choice things of heaven, with the dew, and from the deep lying beneath.
Deuteronomy 33:19
“They will call peoples to the mountain. There they will offer righteous sacrifices, for they will draw out the abundance of the seas, and the hidden treasures of the sand.
Deuteronomy 32:12-13
“The Lord alone guided him, (Israel) and there was no foreign god with him. He made him ride on the high places of the earth, and he ate the produce of the field. And he made him suck honey from the rock, and oil from the flinty rock.”
Isaiah 45:3
“I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places, so that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.”
Israel and Lebanon have not been able to agree on geographical borders and a territorial squabble has developed for the finds discovered in the Mediterranean. However, due to the an agreement will be presented and all will sign because of the wealth they think they will lose. Backed by Syria, Iran, and other Arab countries, including the terrorist organization of Hezbollah, Lebanon has laid claim to the discoveries.
Additionally, Israel’s Parliament has retroactively rewritten the 1952 law resulting in increased taxes and royalties. Drilling and exploration companies are not pleased with this.
God has promised the land of Israel great riches from the “deep”. These discoveries of oil and natural gas fulfill these promises to Israel made in the Old Testament. The significance of these discoveries and developments cannot be denied or diminished in their importance, and I believe they are a direct result of the increase in knowledge as predicted in Daniel 12:4.
Thus, scripturally, all these discoveries were bound to happen. The geopolitical landscape is a proverbial minefield, which is what will eventually lead to the War of Gog and Magog — soon. Let us examine for just a moment, hoping not to stray too much, the Gaza Connection. Energy is now a focus, despite the politics, for win-win agreements in the East Mediterranean.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s June 2023 announcement of preliminary approval for the development of the Gaza Marine gas fields provided a rare glimpse of a potential win-win opportunity. For the Palestinians, it could provide a much-needed boost to their lagging economy and the cash-strapped Palestinian Authority (PA). On the Israeli side, it allows the Netanyahu government to claim it is assisting in improving living conditions in Gaza and could lead to less U.S. pressure on issues like settlement expansion. In the big picture, this is another example of how energy is increasingly becoming a focus for potential win-win agreements in the East Mediterranean. Now that war has developed between Hamas in Gaza and Israel, this agreement may never come to fruition. I urge you to study the perspectives of Egypt, Palestinians, Israel, and the U.S. on this issue. Compare them to scripture and your eyes will be opened.
Also, look at the East Med Pipeline agreements. Initially the U.S. backed the pipeline. Then, on January 11, 2022, they did a U-turn. Why? On September 26, 2022, the Nord Stream pipeline was sabotaged. When Gaza and Israel erupted into war, various parts of the energy hub for Israel were shut down. This includes Tamar gas field, EMG pipeline, and Port of Ashkelon (about 10 km from Gaza Strip). The ports of Haifa and Ashdod remain open so far. Other issues are in the works, and it would benefit the reader to research them. They likely will never be covered by the media.
Forgive me for digressing. Likely one of the most exciting unfolding prophecies is found in the study of the “hook in the jaw”. The Old Testament (see references above) mentions vast wealth in the form of oil found by Israel in the last days as cited above. The ‘hook in the jaw’ is, in my opinion, the cornerstone of the War of Gog and Magog. As mentioned earlier, Israel is on the verge of becoming a superpower in terms of energy. The map below shows some of their major energy fields.
However (as you can see in the following map), many countries are involved in energy projects, the resources of which will be exported through the East Med Pipeline. Many feel it is dead due to the U.S. U-turn on the project. That does not appear to be the case. Why? Because the project will bring wealth to all and lessen the control of the superpowers on these countries. What is holding it back are the tensions between the players. For example, Turkey disputes Greek and Cypriot maritime boundaries and argues that Cyprus has no right to exploit its natural gas resources until it reaches a deal to share them with Turkish Cypriots. At the same time, Turkey advances claims to a larger maritime zone, which it calls the ‘Blue Homeland’. It’s about money. The map below shows the delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish Claims, and the Turkey-Libya MOU.
The East Med Pipeline as shown in the map below, has been well thought out and is not going away. It will complete the ‘hook in the jaw’ because it is foreordained. Note in the map that the pipeline goes to Italy, where there is a short jump from there into Germany with Munich just across the border. You also need to wonder how Germany and other European countries will survive the winter. They are stockpiling both wood and coal for heating and cooking. The links (no resources from Russia due to sabotaged Nord Stream and no resources flowing from Israel) are there, but that is not the intent of this writing.
Suffice it to say that the scriptures cited above and below fulfill the prophecy of Israels natural resources wealth. The ramifications of these discoveries are immense. Israel will become self-sufficient in energy, enjoy a boon of employment for engineers and laborers, and will become an exporter of gas and oil. It has been happening for at least seven years. The shekel, barring further conflict with Hezbollah or Iran, is rock-solid, now worth 3.83 shekels per dollar and expected to increase. The East Med Pipeline will become concrete and when completed, Israel will replace Russia as the leading supplier of natural gas to Europe. There will be a wealth redistribution from Russia to Israel. How do we know this? The scriptures tell us. And it will all lead to the War of Gog and Magog because greed is dependable. Let’s look at some more scriptures.
Ezekiel 38:11-12
11 You will say, I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.”
Read carefully because Ezekiel 38 exposes the true motives of the coalition, namely Russia. Their true motive is to take the vast wealth. Remember that all wars are now resource wars. Following are additional references where the Bible tells us Israel will find these massive reserves? Note that several of the following are repeated from above.
Deuteronomy 33:12-13
12 Of Benjamin he said, May the beloved of the LORD dwell in security by Him, Who shields him all the day, And he dwells between His shoulders. 13 Of Joseph he said, “Blessed of the LORD be his land, With the choice things of heaven, with the dew, And from the deep lying beneath.

Isaiah 45:1-3 (pay attention to verse 3)
1 Thus says the LORD to Cyrus His anointed, Whom I have taken by the right hand, To subdue nations before him And to loose the loins of kings; To open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: 2 I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. 3 I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.
In Genesis 49, Jacob called his sons together before his death and told them what was to become of them which wasn’t good except for Joseph (Genesis 49:22-25) and the land that his descendants would settle in.
Genesis 49:22-25 (again pay attention to verse 25)
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a spring; Its branches run over a wall. 23 The archers bitterly attacked him, And shot at him and harassed him; 24 But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel), 25 From the God of your father who helps you, And by the Almighty who blesses you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.
We now know who the players in this battle will be. We know Magog/Rosh, is Russia and Persia is Iran (along with other members of the coalition listed above). Russia and Iran will lead this coalition and that their plan is an evil plan to kill those they hate, but more over to take the vast wealth Israel continues to amass (Ezekiel 38:10-12) which comes from their gas and oil fields.
Ezekiel 38:10-12
1 And the word of the LORD came to me saying, 2 Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him 3 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. 4 I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords; 5 Persia, Ethiopia and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops–many peoples with you. 7 Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them. 8 After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them. 9 You will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you. 10 Thus says the Lord GOD, “It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan, 11 and you will say, ‘I will go up against the land of unwalled villages I will go against those who are at rest, that live securely, all of them living without walls and having no bars or gates, 12 to capture spoil and to seize plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places which are now inhabited, and against the people who are gathered from the nations, who have acquired cattle and goods, who live at the center of the world.’
We also see the response from the west. (Ezekiel 38:13) Tarshish was the region encompassing what is now southern Spain, as well as a term used in ancient times to refer to the western most parts of human civilization. This passage tells us that there will be a lot of international talk about Russia’s and Iran’s motives. By the time this war comes, most countries, including the U.S, as well as the UN and others will be spouting their usual, useless rhetoric. It is entirely possible the U.S. will be embroiled in its own civil war or that the government has failed entirely. Current situations make that entirely likely. Why? Look at the pro-Palestinian demonstrations in NYC on November 10, 2023, where police were forced to barricade themselves in their own police station. The news media is not reporting it. It is necessary for you to do your homework on all fronts. No one is coming to help you! But I digress. All countries will condemn the war but will do nothing. It is foreordained, for God will show his mighty power to convince Israel and all that he is the true god. To the world it will appear and happily so, that this is the end of Israel. You may even witness demonstrations of jubilation in the streets like the pro-Palestinian demonstrations for Gaza against Israel.
Ezekiel 38:13
13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages will say to you, ‘Have you come to capture spoil? Have you assembled your company to seize plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to capture great spoil?
Notice the mention of Dedan (present day Saudi Arabia). They are opposed to this coalition. Recall that during the Trump administration the historic peace treaties signed between Israel, Saudi Arabia, The Arab League, and others.
God’s Steps Up to the Plate
When all looks lost for Israel and there is no hope and the world which is in a state of panic, God steps in and swings the proverbial bat.

17 Thus says the Lord GOD, “Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days through My servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring you against them? 18 It will come about on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares the Lord GOD, “that My fury will mount up in My anger. 19 In My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; the mountains also will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse, and every wall will fall to the ground.
The first thing that happens to these armies is the rupture of probably the largest earthquake in history. Apparently, it is so large and massive that it will be felt by every nation. It also will be so massive the mountains the armies are traversing will be leveled or crumble.
Ezekiel 38:21
21 I will call for a sword against him on all My mountains,” declares the Lord GOD “Every man’s sword will be against his brother.
God causes confusion among the armies. They will likely, because of their confusion, turn on each other believing that they are attacking Israeli forces.
Ezekiel 38:22
22 With pestilence and with blood I will enter into judgment with him; and I will rain on him and on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, a torrential rain, with hailstones, fire and brimstone.
What is described in this verse is a supernatural event. It should grab the attention of the world (Ezekiel 38:20-21) if the news media does not hide the truth as they so often do. As an aside, you should do your own news research, not believe what the state-run media in every country provides. But I digress. The depiction of this event is one of massive and supernatural destruction. An event the likes of which no one has every seen. In addition to the physical destruction of the invading coalition in the mountains, Ezekiel also tells us that pandemic diseases sweep through Russia, the Middle East, central Asia, North Africa and Sothern Europe putting the entire world at risk (Ezekiel 38:22). He appears to suggest that this pandemic hits the countries of the coalition hard. We are all aware of Ebola, Avian Flu, and many other diseases that this could be. Whatever it is, the casualty rate will likely be above 80%. Based on the events described there likely will be flooding, hailstorms, and fire storms coming down on them. And there will be a complete disruption of critical infrastructure. It is my belief that the 10 plagues of Egypt will pale in comparison. This destruction will happen both to the armies of the coalition and the countries they are from.
Ezekiel 39:3-5
3 I will strike your bow from your left hand and dash down your arrows from your right hand. 4 You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as food to every kind of predatory bird and beast of the field. 5 “You will fall on the open field; for it is I who have spoken,” declares the Lord GOD.
The carnage and utter destruction of these armies must not be overstated! This is destruction and unbelievable carnage on a scale that has never been seen before and it will all have been done clearly by God and God alone (Ezekiel 39:21-23).
Ezekiel 39:9-20
9 Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will go out and make fires with the weapons and burn them, both shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them. 10 “They will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, for they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoil of those who despoiled them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them,” declares the Lord GOD. 11 “On that day I will give Gog a burial ground there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea, and it will block off those who would pass by. So they will bury Gog there with all his horde, and they will call it the valley of Hamon-Gog. 12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. 13 Even all the people of the land will bury them; and it will be to their renown on the day that I glorify Myself,” declares the Lord GOD. 14 They will set apart men who will constantly pass through the land, burying those who were passing through, even those left on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search. 15 As those who pass through the land pass through and anyone sees a man’s bone, then he will set up a marker by it until the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-Gog. 16 And even the name of the city will be Hamonah. So they will cleanse the land. 17 “As for you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Speak to every kind of bird and to every beast of the field, “Assemble and come, gather from every side to My sacrifice which I am going to sacrifice for you, as a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19 So you will eat fat until you are glutted, and drink blood until you are drunk, from My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 “You will be glutted at My table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,” declares the Lord GOD.
What Happens Next?
The scriptures clearly illustrate that the nations will know and understand that this has happened by God’s hand. There will likely be many who turn to Jesus because of this, and it will no doubt be what spurs on those who will be saved during Tribulation.
Recall that after 9/11 that because of the event, many openly discussed God. It was difficult for churches to make room for newcomers. This event will be unlike anything before in human history excepting perhaps the flood. It will be clearly known that it was done by God. The God of Israel! It will not be attributed to global warming fanaticism, Allah, Buddha, or anyone else.
Ezekiel 38:16
16 And you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It shall come about in the last days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I am sanctified through you before their eyes, O Gog.”
Ezekiel 38:23
23 “I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD.”
Ezekiel 39:21-29
21 “And I will set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed and My hand which I have laid on them. 22 “And the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God from that day onward. 23 “The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their iniquity because they acted treacherously against Me, and I hid My face from them; so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword. 24 “According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.” 25 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name. 26 “They will forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their own land with no one to make them afraid. 27 “When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall be sanctified through them in the sight of the many nations. 28 “Then they will know that I am the LORD their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer. 29 “I will not hide My face from them any longer, for I will have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” declares the Lord GOD.
Every religion around the world will see God intervene but to their shock, God is defending Israel and destroying those who attack Israel. It will be a time of soul searching while they watch saturation coverage (hopefully) of the biggest event ever on all forms of media. Many will see and believe that the prophecies of the Bible have come true. It is possible that the event spoken of by many churches, the rapture, could also happen before or directly after this event. A double whammy as it were. The world will be in shock and will panic.
The Antichrist
Directly after these events, likely shortly after, the Antichrist enters the scene. He will solve all the problems by giving Israel a 7-year treaty (Daniel 9:24-24). This treaty will bring the long sought-after assurances of true peace to the Middle East while at the same time securing the world’s supply of oil in its direst of times. Do not forget the amount of oil and natural gas that has been and continues to be discovered in Israel.
Please recall other Middle East peace treaties. Most were heralded as not accomplishable events. This 7-year treaty will be heralded as a feat that could only be accomplished by the greatest man who ever lived, the messianic leader of the world. This man is the antichrist and may be explaining what really happened to all the missing people (the rapture if it has occurred), as well as solving the problems of a global meltdown both financially and militarily. Make no mistake; he will be reorganizing the world under a single ruling government with one economy, one currency, and one supreme leader, him, the antichrist.
Ezekiel 39:22-29 tells us that something marvelous will now happen in Israel. No longer will God do his work mainly through the gentiles, now His focus will turn to the people of Israel. We know that out of Israel 144 thousand will turn to Jesus and will be used to preach the gospel to all the nations (Revelation 7:4-8).
Unfortunately, the Israeli government will enter into a treaty with the Antichrist. This treaty is an affront to God (Isaiah 28: 14-21) who miraculously just saved the nation of Israel that now turns to a man (the Antichrist) for its continued security. Signing of this treaty marks the start of the 7-year Tribulation period. God’s displeasure for signing this treaty is written in Isaiah and Zechariah.
Isaiah 28: 14-21
14 Therefore, hear the word of the LORD, O scoffers, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, 15 Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we have made a pact the overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, For we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.” 16 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed. 17 “I will make justice the measuring line And righteousness the level; Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies And the waters will overflow the secret place. 18 “Your covenant with death will be canceled, And your pact with Sheol will not stand; When the overwhelming scourge passes through, Then you become its trampling place. 19 “As often as it passes through, it will seize you; For morning after morning it will pass through, anytime during the day or night, And it will be sheer terror to understand what it means.” 20 The bed is too short on which to stretch out, And the blanket is too small to wrap oneself in. 21 For the LORD will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be stirred up as in the valley of Gibeon, To do His task, His unusual task, And to work His work, His extraordinary work.
Zechariah gives us more detail. Zechariah 12 tells us about the war of Gog and Magog. Zechariah 13 describes what happens in Israel during Tribulation after God has just rescued Israel and they in turn enter into a covenant with the Antichrist for safety (pay attention to Zechariah 13:7-9)

7 “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, And against the man, My Associate,” Declares the LORD of hosts “Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered; And I will turn My hand against the little ones. 8 “It will come about in all the land,” Declares the LORD, “That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it. 9 “And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’
Jeremiah 24:5-8 also gives us more information.

5 “Thus says the LORD God of Israel, ‘Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans. 6 “For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them again to this land; and I will build them up and not overthrow them, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. 7 “I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the LORD; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart. 8 “But like the bad figs which cannot be eaten due to rottenness-indeed, thus says the LORD-so I will abandon Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials, and the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land and the ones who dwell in the land of Egypt.
Rebuilding the Temple
For decades both Christians and Jews have wondered about when and how the temple will be rebuilt on the site of the Al-Aska Mosque. Perhaps given the current Gaza war, a missile will fall short from one of the parties involved. However, the perfect red Heffer is apparently available and those who will rebuild the temple are ready to go. And if it is not the current Gaza war that causes it, another conflict could quickly rear its head such as war with Hezbollah in the West Bank, Iran, Syria, or even Turkey. Any of these kinds of events could see the destruction of The All-Aksa Mosque. The earthquake that destroys the armies of the Gog and Magog war and coalition could destroy the mosque.
It must be remembered that no one would dare move against Israel after this event for fear of what would happen to them. And, once the treat is signed, they will also have the protection of the Antichrist for 3.5 years before he turns on them. Ultimately, it does not matter how the mosque is destroyed because it will be and then, the temple will be rebuilt.
The War of Gog and Magog is the Event that Begins the Tribulation
The War of Gog and Magog is the cornerstone event that sets the stage for all the events of the first 42 months (3.5 years) of Tribulation. If you have watched the news of the global pro-Palestinian protests, you can see the coalition of Gog and Magog forming. Thus, we can conclude that this event is rapidly approaching. The context in which the Bible tells us about the War of Gog and Magog indicates that the Rapture is potentially wrapped up somewhere in the events surrounding this war. This is the advice I will give you, found in Matthew 24:42-44:
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
We do not know specifically when this event will occur but likely it will be soon. The world will be in a state of chaos; it already is. So, prepare, not only as this website admonishes you to in terms of survival skills, but prepare spiritually. Seek out truths from all religious texts and trust no one save God only.
Jeramiah 17:5
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Philippians 3:1-4
1 Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you. 2 Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. 3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence.
2 Nephi 4:34
34 O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.

- It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man” (Psalm 146:3,4).
- “With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord” (2 Chronicles 32:8).
- “Some trust in chariots … but we will remember the name of the Lord” (Psalm 20:7).

The scriptures are clear. Unfortunately, most people are unaware of the many religious texts other than the Old and New Testament who support them. And prepare yourselves — things are going to get much worse.
